General Information

Adel Acres Care Center was built and opened in 1972 by Jerry and Shirley Clark, and is still owned and operated by them. Their daughter, Pam Walker, has been the nursing home administrator for over twenty years and we have a staff of 65 to 70 dedicated employees. We are a Medicare certified facility.

Our nursing home has a total of 59 beds in a one story carpeted facility. We have private rooms and semi-private rooms. There is an automatic auxiliary lighting system, and we have a visual and audible call system. Safety rails are provided in the corridors, grab bars in toilets, wheel-in showers, and whirlpool bathing areas. Exterior door alert systems monitor departures of residents.

Each room is furnished with a private toilet, lavatory with drawers and storage space, beds, bedside cabinet with drawers, chairs, and suitable closet area. Pleasant colors are used throughout to achieve a home-like and rehabilitative atmosphere. Bed linens, pillows, and laundry service are furnished. Beauty and barber appointments are available.
